There are many positions with the United States Government that can be well-suited to Language Studies majors.

More broadly, they can be found at USA工作.政府, but we include a few highlights below:

Government

Many jobs within the United States Government, both at the federal 和 state level, will call for employees with language skills.
This can include language teachers, translators 和 interpreters.

Intelligence

Federal Intelligence Agencies such as the 美国中央情报局 和 美国联邦调查局  will often hire language analysts, 和 language abilities are often relevant in Signals Intelligence (or 信号情报).

Military

Branches of the military such as the 军队 和 National Guard often hire civilians for positions related to language, cryptography, 和 language intelligence.  The 军队 in particular has a separate focus for Linguists, including civilian positions as well as its Defense Language Institute.
